XPENG has confirmed pricing for its new L03 small sedan, with the four-variant range opening at $41,900 in Australia and including the brand's new range-extended electric powertrain.
The L03 will be offered in RWD Standard Range, RWD Long Range, AWD Performance Ultra and PowerX Long Range variants, with Australian and New Zealand pre-orders opening from September 24, 2026.
The PowerX Long Range is arguably the most distinctive addition. It uses XPENG's Kunpeng Super Electric System, combining a battery with a petrol-powered range extender that generates electricity rather than driving the wheels directly. The car remains driven by its electric motor, while the range extender provides additional flexibility on longer journeys.
At $41,900, the PowerX Long Range starts at the same price as the RWD Standard Range. The RWD Long Range is priced from $46,900, while the AWD Performance Ultra tops the range at $53,900.
All prices exclude on-road costs.
The L03 is built around a 2850mm wheelbase and five-seat cabin, with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and over-the-air software updates.
XPENG's latest XOS 6.0 operating system incorporates navigation, voice controls and vehicle functions, with Google Maps integration extending to charging-route planning and navigation across the instrument cluster, centre display and head-up display.
Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane centring, lane-change assistance, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot detection and intelligent parking assistance. A 360-degree camera, front and rear cross-traffic alerts and driver monitoring are also available.
Depending on variant, the L03 range includes features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof and 256-colour ambient lighting.
XPENG is also offering a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty for private owners, along with seven years of roadside assistance. The traction battery and key electric powertrain components are covered for eight years or 160,000km.
Australian deliveries are yet to be confirmed, with XPENG ANZ to announce timing at a later date.
