Omoda has unveiled the Omoda X at the 2026 International User Summit, revealing a new SUV that combines rugged styling with electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

Positioned below the Omoda 9, the Omoda X measures 4650mm long, 1910mm wide and 1720mm tall. It features 200mm of ground clearance, all-terrain tyres on 19-inch alloy wheels and a claimed wading depth of more than 700mm.

Towing capacity is rated at up to 1,800kg, while the roof can carry up to 75kg. Omoda also claims 39 storage spaces throughout the vehicle, targeting buyers who want additional practicality for outdoor activities.

Inside, the cabin features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. Physical controls remain for frequently used functions, including climate settings and driving modes, while an X-shaped floating centre console forms part of the brand’s futuristic 'Mecha Command Cockpit' design.

One of the model’s more unusual features is an infrared thermal imaging night vision system, which Omoda says can identify potential hazards up to 90 metres away. The X also introduces an X-MODE system for adjusting vehicle settings and driving responses, with both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations planned.

Omoda has yet to disclose detailed powertrain specifications, battery capacities, driving range or performance figures.

The Omoda X has not been confirmed for Australia, with local details expected to be announced at a later date.
